The Symposium Committee
has established a new mandate to see that the proceedings of each symposium
be published, thus giving graduate students another wonderful opportunity
to promote themselves and their research.
Our first publication, Near and Middle Eastern
Civilizations Graduate Students' Annual Symposia (1998-2000),
saw the light of day in the spring of 2001and is now available. You
can order a copy with Benben Publications
or with the NMCGSA. Click on 1998-2000
to view the table of contents.
We
are currently working on the publication of the last two symposia (2001
and 2002). You can contact Krzysztof Baranowski,
the Publication Committee Coordinator, with the e-mail link below for
more information.
In
order to facilitate the publications process and avoid copyright problems,
all symposium participants who wish to see their paper published should
read the following paragraphs attentively.
All participants
are required to submit a well written disk copy of their presentation
on the day of their presentation at the latest. Aware that some
students might be presenting sections of their thesis, the NMCGSA will
only publish these papers with the express permission of the presenter.
Formatting
your paper is important, please read the instructions below. Also read
the copyright notice -- it is the student's responsability to
obtain any copyright permission from publishers in order to have visuals
printed along with their text. Contact the Coordinator for further details. |
